Buoyage and navigation
Many collisions between vessels result from a lack of understanding of the rules of safe navigation.
This section has information on the buoyage system of navigational aids used in Victoria; the vessel navigation lights operators are required to display at night; and standard marine radio procedures.
The information in this section based on the requirements of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (1972) - COLREGs, Marine Safety Act and Marine Safety Regulations.
