Boating Vic Privacy
Your personal information is being collected by Transport Safety Victoria (TSV) in order to provide you with information in relation to conditions at boat ramps, and relevant educational content, as well as to enable you to register your account with us.
We may also use your information to carry out research activities and projects.
TSV may disclose your personal information to the following third parties for these purposes:
- to other State and Commonwealth government bodies, including fisheries and marine authorities, law enforcement agencies, other road and traffic authorities and courts;
- to our service providers, contractors and agents, including our IT service providers;
- to research companies and organisations, for the purpose of assisting government research.
Personal information submitted as part of your account will be stored with our data storage service provider in a data centre located in New South Wales. You agree that your personal information may be transferred out of Victoria and/or New South Wales in the event that our data storage service provider changes its storage location. It may be possible that the data is transferred to a location which is subject to privacy legislation which is different from Victorian privacy legislation, and the government of that jurisdiction may have access to your personal information pursuant to that legislation.
If you do not provide the personal information requested (apart from any fields marked as optional), we will not be able to register your account with us or provide you with email communications regarding our services.
